January is about to close this year yet I am still forever grateful. And who would not? With so many surprises coming my way, indeed the year is just getting better and better. Missy Bon Bon's New Pastry

Our favorite gelato and pastry store Missy Bon Bon came up with something new. Want to make a wild guess? No this is not a new gelato flavor. Nor this is a new breakfast meal. Many likes to eat this. OK enough of the charade. It is Missy Bon Bon's Pastel.

The box that contains the delicious pastels. It definitely is a pasalubong box!

I am not a food critic nor I am a food expert. However, do take my word for it. On the other hand, you can always visit Missy Bon Bon to try it for yourself and check if it's true.

If you are a fan of pastels then this is something for you! Missy Bon Bon's pastel may just be the same with other pastels in the city and the country. It still contains the bun and the yummy custard filling. However what makes this different is the taste of the filling. What I personally like about it is that it is not too sweet that makes you fed up after eating two buns. Much more it has that unique cheesy taste that melts in your mouth. I am definitely craving for some as I am writing this. 

For a price of 70 pesos, you can bring home this delicious treat that I am sure your family would enjoy. With that said, head to Missy Bon Bon right away. Thank you to the management for this great treat last Saturday.

Exactly 8 days ago is my boyfriend and I's 32nd monthsary. It may sound corny for some, however it has been a tradition for us to celebrate this day by being together like what we did here. This day landed on a Sunday and we got the whole afternoon to spend it.

We started by watching Katie Holme's new movie Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. I do not want to give out a review on this one because for one, I do not know how to create an objective movie review and secondly, I did not appreciate much the movie since I am covering my eyes the whole time. (That sounded like review-ish)

Moving on, we decided to go to Missy Bon Bon to have our dinner. After all we got a 500 peso gift certificate for our consumption that my boyfriend won in the store's Halloween costume here. We certainly do not want to put this to waste hence we decided to utilize it. I never knew that 500 in MBB could go a loooonggg way. Here's what we got!

5 pieces of MBB's Cheesy Sponge. This is my boyfriend's ultimate fave. And here's what Sandy Daza has got to say about this:

"When I took my first bite, I started to think I should get some for my loved ones. I took four buns home and ended up making my wife Tessa try it but eating the rest myself. It is that good. The cheesy sponge is something you’ll crave for... "

More than the food, nothing beats the time spending it with someone you love. All this time, I feel so blessed to have a friend, a companion and a lover beside me. For sure we could turn 32 months into 32 years and even more.

Halloween

When we talk about Halloween, we not only think of our deceased loved ones and also vacation. Oftentimes, this also equates to parties that require one to dress up. And with such befitting activity, last Saturday's Missy Bon Bon Trivia Night caters to such an occasion.

Team Kili Elites was pump to dress up (should I say cosplay) for the event. It was noted that the best costume would be given great prizes by Missy Bon Bon. Since we want to win such and apart from that dress up for fun, we opted to do it!

Every Saturday is Missy Bon Bon's Trivia Night. My boyfriend and I along with our friends gather together to join this Saturday tradition to enjoy the company, the place, the quiz itself and of course the prizes.

Last September 24, 2011 was the most coveted day of all the teams simply because it is the monthly round where the team with the most points on the entire month will be given one delicious Missy Bon Bon product which is their very own Gelato Cake. After four gruesome sets, Kili Elites won! Yehey for that. And here is our delectable prize that we enjoyed so much.
