Save Manila

Another disaster has struck the country putting Manila and Luzon to deep waters. This feels like Sendong all over again to me. Seeing its devastation, the families that were affected, houses that were flooded really is surreal and alarming.

Now it is our time to help our fellow Filipinos up north. They have extended much during our Sendong tragedy and it is but right that we also do the same for them now. You and I can help Save Manila.

To date, there are already varied campaigns circulating online on how you can do your share.

For my readers residing in Cagayan de Oro and nearby areas, you can drop off your donations in cash and in kind in Xavier University's Magis Canteen Atrium. Student volunteers are there to assist and receive your contributions.

For my dear readers in other parts of the country, you might want to check out these items. Information from Yugatech, twitter, GMA, Google and others.

If you know anyone in need of immediate rescuing/evacuation assistance, tweet #RescuePH

If you know anyone in need of aid (clothes, medicine, milk etc.), tweet #ReliefPH

Let us do our share most especially in this pressing time. We are one country after all. Together let us help Save Manila and we are saving the country in return.
